Ooo. That's really, terribly sad. I hope that's not what the Doctor lives with when he isn't goofing off. He does seem to be a master of switching off the darkness most of the time, but I could see him experiencing something like when he zones out in Runaway Bride.

Holy hell! This was freaking amazing! I love how you made the Doctor seem strong in this. So many stories have the Master as the all powerful one and the Doctor seems like an out of place, rambling idiot.

This is his mind, these are his feelings. They should destroy him like they destroy you, but he simply stands amidst all the things you can not see and they dance down into hell around him. In this chaos and madness he swallows all light and treats safely on paths that aren’t there.

You see and feel him/yourself ending it and it kills you. There are no words for this - you curse him in a language that contains no sounds, and watching his dark silhouette in front of the raging fire you feel impressed and intimidated.

That was gorgeous.

Thank you for this powerful read. This is one of those snippets that reaches out from the computer screen and carries the reader to a far off place. :) Thank you.

This was one of the things I deserately wanted to write one day. And now I finally did I'm actually largely satisfies with how it turned out.
It was also one of the stories I didn't expect to get any reviews for, so I am a little surprised but not unpleasantly so.
Thanks for the feedback!

Allow me to shamelessly give you props once again! Sometimes I debate whether or not to post if I don't think it will go over well with the readers. I always figure I'd write regardless because it's something I love, but we post to the internet because we hope someone else out there in the world will enjoy it. :)

Your story was completely unlike any other Master/Doctor story I've read. I'm glad it got the reviews it rightfully deserved!
