EEP! I'll admit that this was pretty dark for me. Yes, I'm a big sap at heart. LOL I read it though because I adore your writing style and I'm glad I did! I LOVED Jack at the end. That completely saved me from sliding off my chair into a big pile of depression.
I loved this part: “Will you?” There was a hint of surprise in Slade’s voice because the Doctor was walking toward the blue box again. He could accept that it might be a means of transport, but while two people might squeeze in there it would be nearly impossible to get inside with a dead body to carry. Yet the Doctor did not slow down when he pushed the doors open and disappeared inside, and for one second Rickston thought he saw a room inside that was dimly lit and much, much bigger than the outside.
The TARDIS is definitely bigger on the inside! Plenty of room for Jack and the Doctor to comfort each other. ;)
Is it bad that I wanted Jack to kill Rickston? And what the Doctor went through to release prisoners... *sniff*
Thank you so much for sharing. Like I said, this normally isn't my cup of tea, but you're a very good writer and I enjoy reading well written things. Okay, I'm going to shut up now. Blessed are the long winded!
Oho, thanks for all the praise! I didn't like this story at all but according to the feedback I recieved it was worth delaying the next chapter of 'Shade' for. A short h/c sequel will follow someday.
I agree. There are some haertbreakingly beautiful stories out there that recieved about six comments (four of them comming from me) and some pretty crappy ones that got hundrets of comments.
Remember, if I update my story you'll have to update yours.
