Why it's awesome: Steve of the Movie Universe ends up in the Comic Universe and has to deal with the Tony Stark of that world. There is so much that could have gone wrong with that premise, but it didn't. I didn't think it would either, because the author has proven before that she can handle both universes and their meeting very well. The story has great plot and a few awesome moments (I particularly liked it when Steve had to realise that this new world reacts rather apathetic to their superheroes coming back to life), but what I really liked was how it handled Steve and Tony falling in love with other versions of their dead loved ones. Because it doesn't take the easy road of just continuing a love that already existed anyway, never forgetting that the different selves are not identical, and never forgetting that 616!Steve and MCU!Tony are still dead. This is, at the end of the day, a story about moving on.
