The second art-prompt I made for spn_illuminated, as well as one additional picture. Since real life happened to my author and the story was only finished two days before the posting date, I didn't have the time to do as much as I usually like.

I'm sad we didn't get more time as well, but I love the artwork very much. You're so talented:)
I did try to have a scene in the story wherein Lilith is down on the ground, injured, and Sam falls in front of her, blood on his mouth, so it'd fit as much as possible. Think I changed the wording a little after the draft I sent you, actually.

Love both drawings. And the idea! My hate for Ruby spins of knowing how she used and betrayed Sam, but I always thought it was a bet: Castiel could as well had been the one who betrayed them (and well, he almost did in fact because both angels and demons were on the same side). Anyway the image of Ruby in the ground being hurt trying to save or help Sam and then Sam falling too is really evocative.

But still, my favourite one is the second drawing. I love how Dean is grabbing Sam's hair and how Sam is holding unto Dean and pulling him toward him. There's an aura of desperation in their movements.

So, absolutely lovely as usual!

Wow, late reply is late. Anyway, I really think you're right about Cas and Ruby: it could just as well could have been the other way round, with Ruby turning and Cas betraying Dean. (Only then, everyone would have gone on about how poor Dean was betrayed by someone he trusted instead of blaming everything on him. /bitter)

By the way, the lady on the ground is Lilth, and Sam just killed her - at least in my original idea for the prompt. (It's not what happens in the fic.) I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that. The style is so rough, it could just as well have been the first Ruby...

I adore the prompt-image with the flowing hair and the dark shadows. Without the explanation, it really can be interpreted as either sad or dreamy.

The hasty drawing is pretty cool too; the strong multiple pencil lines give their hands and arms a sense of movement. I like it lots.

Thanks a lot! I do like the messy-lines-style when others do it but never really manage to pull it off myself - even though I can't draw a clean line to save my life. Good to know it works for you here!
