Oh, god, I *absolutely* loved this part (yeah, what else is new?). It's a perfect continuation to the original story and I really really like your Castiel POV. He has changed a little since the original story although he still comes out as disconnected from the real world and not understanding human feelings.

He knows he did something wrong and want tomake it right, but he is still unable to understand why Sam and Dean won't accept his help anymore. I think he has a long way before him, he can't impose his help on them, but at least he is in the right path. I'm not sure he will be able to ever regain Dean's trust though... (unlike Sam, who sometimes forgives too easily).

By the way, Sam kindness broke my heart. Blind, hurt, wasted away and scared, but still wanting to save Castiel's life. He really doesn't know how to keep a grudge against those he loved huh? I bet he's somehow thinking what happened was also his fault...

In "Bright Afternoon Sunlight", Sam seems to be somehow better, at least he can walk and he's not blind, so I can guess maybe Castiel managed to cure him partially? We will get to see what happened? Are you going to tell this story

And Zachariah knew what would happen to Sam and did it on purpose????? I didn't see that one coming, but now it makes sense they will be in danger, because that SOB is surely going to try to force them to open the last seal still... I hope he receives a very painful death (maybe at Castiel's hands?). The plot thickens!!

Actually, if you read Brigth Afternoon Sunlight again, you'll find that Sam is actually bind there, too. At least I wrote him that way. (Maybe I failed.) The girl who saw Dean lead him around and guide his hands to his drink and all just didn't make the connection.

But you're right - Sam is better, generally. I imagine that Sam and Dean settled down in that town because Sam can't hunt anymore. One day I'll write about that. I also have another part planned about a secret meeting between Sam and Cas... Which Dean will never learn about.
There are still many stories to come for his 'verse! I'm so happy you like it!

And I haven't decided what to do with Zachariah yet, but maybe Cas will kill him. (Then again, he just did in another fic I can't posted yet...)

Argh!! I didn't make the connection either!! since he was able to move and enter the restaurant by himself I just assumed he was still weak... But you are right, I just re-read it and it's kind of obvious. I wasn't very perceptive there, huh?

Anyway, I love that you are telling us this 'verse out of cronological order, letting us see different glimpses and scenes. I'm looking forward to *all* the stories that will come out of this 'verse!! For example that secret reunion looks awesome!

Oooooh! and Castiel killing Zachariah? is that your gen-big-bang too?

Yeah, it's the gen BB. That won't be posted until September or later, though.

Don't worry! I was actually afraid Sam's condition would bee too obvious in the other fic, and am glad it wasn't.

Following the pattern so far I'll write the next part after the I finish the story for the samdean_otp mini-bang. (Deadline is in August.)

So your gen-big-bang will have Wall!Sam AND BAMF!Cas killing Zachariach? Sounds really intriguing! I will patiently wait until september though, so don't worry! :D

My vacation starts this friday!! I'm sooooo looking forward to going away for a little while and be able to relax, go to the beach and do *nothing*. Besides I discovered I will have enough internet to check my mail and such, won't be able to download anything by my addiction will be appeased.
