It does veer of from my prompt about half-way through, I agree, but that was still really fucking awesome! Thank you!

I'm glad you like it!

Yeah, it suddenly wanted to go somewhere beyond the prompt. Sometimes, you just have to follow inspiration where it leads you.

That was a very interesting consequence to Sam's time in hell. Thank goodness, though, that Dean had the final say and not Bobby or else Sam might have ended up left behind in an institution. Love that Dean gave up hunting for him :)

awesome!

Thanks! Glad you liked it.

At this point, I'll be glad if we ever get to see any kind of consequences for Sam's hell-trip on the show.

That's a horrifyingly plausible possibility, and I like the way the bleakness of knowing that it can't be fixed, that no one but Dean can even begin to understand, that SAM understanding won't make any difference, is balanced by the possibility of comfort at the end, stability and maybe a garden for Sam, Dean being able to admit to himself that leaving hunting could be an actual good thing for him as well as Sam.

I didn't want to leave it too bleak. I do like bleak endings, but this one didn't want to have one. I'm happy it worked for you!
