So today at my brother in law cousin's wedding I met a man who asked me if I was a Hare Krishna, since I had my tilak (forehard mark) on.
Then he said I have to go to Dvaraka in India where Krishna lived with His 16108 queens.
Later he told me to sit next to him and he said when one takes to Krishna, other things start becoming bland. He said I should close my eyes when chanting because when our eyes are open, we tend to get distracted. Which is true but I look at pictures of the Lord when I am chanting.
He advised me to take insults nicely and just be simple, thinking of the next world and the Lord.
I wonder if I can do this. To be in the world but not of the world.
