Another nose related operation, another ridiculously beautiful day. Only not the sun and blue sky crap I had 10 days ago. No, this is a truly beautiful day, grey sky as far as the eye can see, just need some thunder and it would be really beautiful. Too bad my cereal tastes like garbage. This lack of taste is getting old in a hurry.
Apparently getting the splints removed hurts like a bitch. I bet it's overrated. It's going to be a cake walk through the tea park.
Unrelated, I read the new Steven Erikson book, Bonehunters, book 6 of 10 in The Malazan Book of the Fallen. I have been waiting for this book since I read the first 5 last summer and god damn, Steven Erikson is my hero. Anyone who likes books that don't suck should read The Malazan Book of the Fallen. Gardens of the Moon, Deadhouse Gates, Memories of Ice, House of Chains, Midnight Tides, Bonehunters. Great series so far, only 4 books left. Can't wait. Heading out, gory details later.
The splints they ripped out of my nose were friggin massive. I mean, christ, they were huge. I have a limited ability to breathe through my nose restored, I can taste again, but my nose still hurts, still all bloody and stuff. I suspect it will be a while before it is 100% They gave me some saline spray to shoot up my nose 3-4 times a day. Other than that it was pretty boring, not nearly as painful as I thought it would be.
