I've been having minor issues with my home telephone line - which runs through the internet connection/home computer. (
MagicJack) I only have this phone line in order to run my building door buzzer (not that you can't get into the building by just following someone in... *sigh*) but when I was continually having phone issues (with the actual, physical, sitting-on-my desk phone), it made things very irritating.
Last week, I finally got around to forwarding that number to my cell phone - which has solved all the problems! I can hear people just fine when they call to be buzzed in, and pushing the button to activate the buzzer works every time!! And not only that - but I just tried calling from my work phone, and the call went through even though my home computer is turned off! Before forwarding it to my cell phone, I had to leave the computer turned on or the phone line wouldn't work.
Sweet! Some days it's the little accomplishments that make me happy.
(err... now I'm wondering if I remembered to shut the computer off this morning... I meant to, in order to test this theory out, but now I can't remember if I did or not! Lol)
(Yup! I *did* shut off my computer this morning. Cool!)
