the point of the article however, or at least it's intitial intent, is what irks me. "oooh! I know! let's get our buddy stephen to write about how writing can predict insanity! he'll know!"
as if there was anything to say.
I think he pretty much hits the nail on the head with that article... what about it irks you?
Maybe its the let's get Stephen to write it thing. I feel like its kind of desensitized though. Know what I mean? I feel like he is kind of I don't know rude about the whole thing. Stephen King has always kind of irked me though.
I don't think he's being rude... the guy was a nutcase who couldn't write well and it's really stupid of entertainment weekly to have seen any sort of connection between Cho and King... much less one that Stephen King would be willing to write about...
The point is, Cho was mentally unwell and weird. Maybe it's wrong for him to be Truthful about it less than a week afterwards, but I don't really think so. Entertainment weekly was just trying to get some sort of headline to further draw out all the media sensationalization of the tragedy; I'm sure they're hoping to make a CNN headline with it. the article, to an extent, calls them out on that.
and I'd love to play in the sunshine, however, I'm locked up in the library until I finish this paper [I'm in the middle of page 3 for a 6-8... sigh] At least I read Whitman in the grass this morning before the quad became a public romping ground =)
eh, I'm sure he could use the paycheck. and it's not like he bought into it all, at all. he's going against the grain at least a little bit, but still getting his check. not so bad, methinks.
I'd love to do dindin but it'll have to be earlier-ish - I work 6-10
