hands and feet

when i look at my hands i feel old
they are dry and pale and thin
and my left wrist feels rusted tight

when i look at my feet
and wiggle them
and point my toes
and stand on my toes
i feel young and strong

i stayed up past sunrise today.
i didn't feel sleepy, although i was.
doesn't feel like four hours of sleep.
hungry, but don't feel it.
is there a loose cord somewhere?
