[Gasps, then is silent for a moment before he gets up the courage to speak.]

M...Mary? Is that really you?

Chrono, where are you? Are you all right? You looked so hurt I...

She doesn't remember.

This might not make much sense to you, but I'm at an opera house. And I'm fine, don't worry. ...What's the last thing you remember? And where are you? Are you safe?

[Dropping that topic for now... she obviously sounds a little confused]

I'm so glad you're all right. The last thing? I... You and Aion were fighting, you were hurt and then we fell off of Eden. But I can't remember more than that. Yes, I'm fine. I'm by an entrance.

[A short muffled gasp just out of sheer shock] I see. Yes, that would make sense then.

[ AP ]

[Chrono quickly runs out of the Opera and changes into his demon form, spreading his wings and leaping into the air. Thanks to his ability to fly, it doesn't take him too long to reach the entrance of Xanadu--but the trees make it a little hard to see inside, so he lands at the entrance and begins to look around.]

Mary...?

[ AP ]

[vaguelines]

[She stands up from sitting on a bench after hearing her name called]

Chrono! I'm over here.

[Running towards the entrance she sees him and continues running to give him a hug. Oh so relieved!]

I'm glad you're all right. Even if it has been some time for you.

[Then she takes a step back]

[ AP ]

[Returns the hug, his arms wrapping around her tightly, perhaps protectively.]

Yeah...It's really good to see you again. I thought I'd never...

[He swallows and reluctantly lets her go as she steps away, carefully looking at her. He'd still been in his sealed form when he last saw her. He almost forgot how small she seemed when he was this height. Not quite as small as Rosette, but...almost.]

I hope you haven't been waiting here too long.

[ AP ]

[She shakes her head while smiling.]

No, I haven't.

[She looks down a moment, wondering if this is the right time to ask certain questions. But she decides against it for now and simply looks back up to him with a smile.]

How have you been?

[ AP ]

I've been...[frowns just slightly, trying to figure out how exactly to answer that question--then smiles softly]

Good. There's been ups and downs, but...life is good.

[ AP ]

[A bit of a laugh]

It's been a long time, right? I would think there wouldn't be no bad times. But I'm glad you're good.

[Another smile and then she looks around a bit] This place is really beautiful, don't you think Chrono? [A thoughtful pause then she looks back to him.]

So what will happen now?

Yeah. This is one of my favorite places in the City. You should see it in Spring.

[turns towards her and holds out a hand]
