Warped Tour breaketh downeth:
(in order of appearance:)
Hawthorne Heights: Walked by their stage and watched a song. I still stand by my "wanting to kill them" statement. I hate that band more than anything.
Lenore: Amazing. I'm glad I got to see them play their second to last show. The sound was really great for them. Heard some new songs off that EP.
The Starting Line: Overall disappointing. They were hard to see, and the sound wasn't too great, but seeing them was great. They played "Surprise, Surprise," my favorite song.
Underoath: Couldn't see shit. Definitely couldn't see crazy keyboard player go insane, so that sucked. The sound was really awesome though, and you could hear the vocals very well. His scream has improved live.
Bleed The Dream: Probably the best band I saw. Their lead singer has the most intense scream I've ever heard. He's fucking tough and his head shakes like he's going to pass out. His singing voice is quite impressive. The entire band is incredible and their new album will probably be my next purchase.
Rufio: Nick left to go watch Atreyu, so I decided to leave and go see Rufio. I've never seen them before, so it was sweet to finally see them. They played old and new stuff. Good sound also. I'm surprised good sound came out of the smaller, tent stages.
Armor For Sleep: I almost missed them play, until I walked past the Smartpunk stage and recognized them. They weren't too impressive, just because the sound was bad, but it wasn't bad. I bought a AFS shirt.
Transplants: I envy Travis Barker. As much as I hate their new single, I really enjoyed them. Travis is the most fun drummer to watch.
Avenged Sevenfold: Epic. Third best band today. Amazing set. I thought I was going to be super pissed after seeing them, because of their singer's non-screaming voice, however they were sweet. Their guitar solos were amazing. Their stage presence was amazing. Wow.
The Fall Of Troy: Second best band today, next to Bleed The Dream. Me and Nick were able to get really close since it was on the Ernie Ball stage. Their guitarist is insane and he makes weird faces. The end of their set was intensity.
Yesterday's Rising: I really like them. They sound real similar to the new Underoath, but I think they're way better. Their set was so amazing too. New favorite band.
Thrice: Well, I'm in love with them. Enough said. Their new songs are so great and I want their new album to come out now.
Matchbook Romance: I just barely watched them. They were alright. Nothing special.
Boys Night Out: I liked them. They have this girl do keyboards and background vocals, and her voice was lovely. Yippee.
Billy Idol: Rock and fucking roll. They played "White Wedding." Billy Idol said "fuck" a lot, and during their set, this guy streaked above the stage on the highway overpass and humped the fence.
Left before My Chemical Romance. I missed the following bands: The Bled, Hidden In Plain View, Senses Fail, and Strike Anywhere. Oh well. The Bled played too damn early and we heard the Munoz scream from I-25, and I cried. I heard Fall Out Boy, and it sounded good. I couldn't get a good spot, because the crowd was massive.
