Being Human (US) Reaction Post: 1x03
I'm very late guys. I'm sorry. No excuse. But! I have a shitton of graphics to post and a Josh/Aidan fic next... And I promise to be better from now on.
Now to the important stuff.
THIS SHOW IS SO EPIC. I'M DYING.
So recapping part two, of episode one- Aidan narrowly saves Josh from killing his sister and they share this ~look~ guys and it is amazing. She thinks Josh is teh crazy. Josh and Aidan try and get the sink fixed because Sally's feelings are stirring up sticky icky in the faucets. She sees Danny. Danny does not see her. There is angst. Then 'dead' Rebecca comes back as a vampire. Josh finds out, is angry at Aidan and there is ANGSTY SHIRT GRABBING, Bishop taunts Aidan, Rebecca taunts Aidan and she's kind of kinky and awesome and secretly wants Aidan to hold her. But Aidan's really messed up. MESSED UP.
So anyway, he goes out with the other redhead nurse for a while, almost vamps out but then calls Josh and Josh DESPITE ALMOST MOVING OUT, comes back to help him. But, woops, too late, Rebecca's created a diversion and fatally drunk redheaded nurse #2 up. Aidan and Josh hover over her dying body. Josh begs Aidan to save her. Aidan can't. Not even for Josh.
Then we pan back to the house and Josh and Sally watching Aidan looking all woobie out on the steps. JOSH BELIEVES IN HIS GOODNESS YOU GUYS and thinks maybe he saved Kara after all. Josh goes out, hands him a coffee mug while Sally watches and my ot3 is all fuzzy and angsty and I am actually grabbing at the tv because I think I'm going to be in love with it FOREVER.
So last weeks ep...
TO LAST WEEK'S EP: As part of project 'pretending-to-be' human, Aidan invites all the neighbors over. He may have killed the father of one of them. He may be holding a vendetta. Sally is sad because Danny can't see her. Josh and Aidan enlist the help of hairmetalghostTony to be her connection to the land of the dead. Sally can touch tony. Then JoshAidan disappear together. DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS.
Josh and Sally are really cute together. Hair metal tony and Sally are really cute until he starts hitting on her. She has an understandable feminist reaction. Josh and Sally are cute together again. HairMetal Tony apologises and has a moment of clarity after reuniting with an old love. He moves on.Sally might be able to touch. But Danny might have a thing going with her best friend.
Aidan tries to handle the policeguy-who-thinks-he-murdered his dad on his own, but the guy ends up stabbing him with a pipe. Aidan throws a royal vampire fit and cleans himself up beautifully after sucking up all this blood from a bag to heal and I wish I was that bag.
Bishop shows up to taunt Aidan and possible kills the guy. Aidan nearly fights Marcus and Bishop to keep policeman alive,and glamors him into forgetting him. Later Bishop makes a cryptic comment about his compassion and we find out from pictures that the policeman killed himself. Or Bishop killed him. Anyway he's dead and Aidan slouches down so angstily and damned it all if I'm not thinking of Davis. Josh, just lock yourself in the basement with him. But wear garlic.
NOW. DEETS.
I love it all, but these are the scenes that I could positively LICK.
- Aidan brushing his teeth and talking to Sally. I love this scene. So up close. Such a typical guy thing even if he’s probably brushing bagged blood out of his teeth. Also, how can he be such a flirt WHILE DOING THAT!?
- Aidan undressing after being stabbed. The blood sucking scene. SO HOT I CAN’T EVEN. Let’s be honest here, which of my Chlavis fans actually thought of manip where [Davis] comes back after crazed drugged up Jimmy murders him in Doomsday? Yeah I need to be making this shit.
- Bishop, I never completely understood your hotness until you filched that waitress for that cup of coffee. GUH. Not that I believed in filching cups of coffee as a rule but GUH.
- Tony the Ghost was so much better than I expected. I actually shipped him with Sally for all of five minutes, shut up all the characters have chemistry on this show…and then out came the plot twist that he actually had to move on by remembering an old love…and that was actually…good. And not schmoopy. THE SERIES IS BRANCHING OUT.TAKE THAT HA!
- Josh and Sally!!1 That little growly moment with Josh going all- ‘is this guy bothering you?’ about Tony was so full of squee I can’t even.
ALSO- Josh and Sally are both lonely. They need to hug and cuddle because she can touch if she wants to and…yeah…. I ship them too.
- WHICH IS NOT TO IGNORE MY NUMBER 1 SHIP. When Josh and Aidan were all close talking and ‘we’re gonna…’ now they totally went and got it on.
- Aidan also hurt my heart this week. Yeah he’s trying to break away from Bishop and a little vicious in doing so )- but the way he tried to glamor that guy either ended up with him going nutters and killing himself or something and... He's not a hero, anywhere close yet, but its good to see him not letting Bishop fight his battles and taking a stand for something besides his vamp-abstinence. He could have let daddy take care of it. Been free. BUT HE DIDN'T. It was selfish anyway and mindrape is bad, but he made a step forward. ALSO AIDAN WAS EPICALLY PAINFUL AND WOOBIE ALL SLUMPED DOWN LIKE THAT.
- Josh/the wolf's anger issues surprised me. It's a lot like a Doomsday thing- he's not in control, blaming himself, but his emotions give it an outlet. JOSH’S LITTLE EXPRESSIONS ALSO HURT ME ALOT.
- AND DANNY YOU MIGHT BE SUCH A MURDERING GIGOLO. POOR SALLY, MY BB.
- In conclusion, they should all have a threesome.
