I just watched the episode twice through, back to back. Because I am an SW junkie and I've had zero days of non-SW, non-Davis-y sobriety since falling (and falling HARD) for him on Smallville. (I wear my badge of addiction with pride. XD)

The episode is a bit rough in patches, suffering from that first episode of a new series awkwardness that afflicts nearly all TV shows. Will it grab viewers fast enough before getting lost in the current sea of vampire-werewolf stories? I don’t know. *pouts* But it has a lot of potential….and not very dressed Sam playing a character in SERIOUS need of redemption. Which is enough to hold my attention. That and the swoony, risky way Sam plays those bitey scenes like a guy lost in a haze of carnal lust/satisfaction (the Big "O") and a blood bong high!

Did you not love that brief moment in the hospital when Aidan and Marcus got their vampires-about-to-rumble freak on?

And that cliffhanger! Pretty cool. XD

Yeah, I think I'll be sticking around.

I watched the episode about twelve times by this point. It was for the vidmaking, kay? :p I can already tell my obsession is going to be ridiculous.

From a review I read, the shakycam footage might be a problem. But for my I'm like whut. SAMAIDAN LUV. GIMME.Totally Biased.
I really love the balance they've struck with the dialogue and the character chemistry. I only hope they will avoid filming the campy shots like Rebecca's death scene. Just a wee bit over the top, imo. So far I seem to like the cinematography a wee bit better than the BBC version.

The way he plays those scenes is filling my vidding dreams forever. At this rate I will be making a pervy chloe/aiden or chloe/davis vid for every being human episode. ;) Quite happily.

Aidan is in severe need of redemption. But further on in the series--oh he and his quest for redemption makes me so sad. I feel like a spoiler monster having watched the bbc show. He gets quite epic. I need this to be renewed already. hehe.

ooohhh. I apparently seem to love any instance of SW swearing or being fierce. Yes. I enjoyed it wayyy to much. I look forward to more of his bamfness.

The cliffhanger had me eating my werewolfnails in nerves. How can Aidan possibly get there to save Aidan and his angsty relationship with his sister in time all high like that. NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
