Nevertheless I notice randomly writing stuff helps get my brain working so...
Smallville: Infamous.
So, in a sentence, it wouldn't have been worth watching without the Chloe/Davis scene, to me. Lois wasn't making 'quite' as many sheep's eyes as in Bride, but it came close. Clark was bah. Linda was annoying and pretty stupid. I think she was eviler in Torque, but I'm biased.
Recap: Linda Blackmails Clark, he decides to beat her to the punch a reveal his secret, Chloe doesn't agree. Clark tells Lois. blah and blah.Next!
Davis is stealing some anti-psychotic pills from the hospital. Nurse comes in. He says he's restocking. She goes away.
He pops a bunch of the pills and looks freaked. (He is very pretty.)
Chloe is also at the hospital. Suddenly she's famous. And people want to take pictures of Jimmy in a neck brace because he's Chloiac's Puppet's husband. So she just stands there.
And she sees Davis. Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah plays. (No wait. That was Watchmen.)
She goes to him.
Davis's back is to Chloe and his eyes are all funny/silver/black. He pops more pills and turns around, almost himself.
They talk and she says she's deleted his Bride messages. She's a lying liar who lies.She does mention he kissed her.
So she's talking about their relationship, while he's talking about the Doomsday thing and he says a relationship even friendship between them would be dangerous. Double meanings, people.
She says, then this is the end then?
She looks sad, and tries to be gung ho about it and leaves.

It wasn't 'the end'.
She nearly jumped on him when he was in pain from almost transforming (not in that way, geesh). He told her the truth, told her to warn Clark. (Aww!)
He started transforming, told her to run. SHe does, but also messages Lois.
and then, the scene where dooms *picks up her car*. (yep, the gentleness thing was the Braniac programming).
Doesn't matter because of the Clark reset it.
Still, in the real timeline, LL finds out the secret at the hospital. Wants him to bust her out. taunts Davis with telling Chloe. So he's freaking out and going doomy. he smothers her and his eyes get normal; Davis looks scared. he puts the pillow gently underneath her head, goes out. throws away the pills. He's going V-I-G-I-L-A-N-T-E with villains.
look out, joker in gotham.
What I took from it: 1. Davis does really love Chloe, without the programming. You can't miss that. It all made me very shippy 2. He is in danger of falling into a crazycakes downward spiral, even without giving up hope. 3. his feelings for Chloe, and his desire to stay good are the only things keeping him grounded.With the way the show is though, thy'll probably set him up to take a major fall here and it makes me sad. bah.
So I have some suggestions.
Now, show, all you need is to fix the Jimmy issue in some way (hissy fit? insecurity issues? the fact that CHloe was not herself when she married him?. Get Davis to tell Chloe again. Have her forget the stepford thing.
Then, epically epic, you'd be doing it right. (I am such an optimist)
Oh, Turbulence is next and Jimmy gets to bitch for like the millionth time.
but Chloe and Davis do talk. And it might be the beginning of the end to chimmy.
Random tie-in note.
I haven't watched Fringe in ages, but there was this one episode where this man was infected by a virus that made him morph into something resembling a huge porcupine.He started getting the seizure things. He tried to warn people, locked himself in the rest room, and generally looked horrified. I thought Davis!
Then the guys teeth fell out.
Other General Show Stuff:
Bones
I still like the bones, and Vincent Nigel Murray. However, I feel like anvils are being dropped on my nose all the time, they're turning Booth into a doofus, and really making it look like Brennan has a syndrome. And the baby spoiler is seriously weird. And sudden. They haven't kissed for real yet! I'm watching less regularly. (no time) but then they put in some lovely end scenes, and it almost feels like B+B again. So, I'm hoping they come back.

but the only show I'm loving in its entirety right now? is Life. (The show. not my life. too much Calc. :p )
Seriously, Charlie Crews is amazing, quirky (yay fruit!), full of angst that he refuses to let eat him up(framed for murder of his closest friends? goes to prison for almost twenty years?loses his life but starts right over), and Zen. you will see why when you look at this vid.
It is angst, with its own kind of Zen. Shows everything I love about *the show*.
Lastly, fic stuff.
I will be working on the next installment of lathe / vessel / lithophane / crucible/ torque . (My Chloe/Davis spec verse for the spoilers) tomorrow. And saturday, because i have written myself into a dramatic situation that they have to fight a way out of.
My mind is just swimming in ideas, so that's good. I will not be a bad writer and write myself into a cornerparaxdisepink . :p
