I think it's hard for men to understand rape, sometimes. Like you said, men get raped too, but rape is largely seen as a crime of men against women, and...I don't know, maybe it's hard for men to see how it's rape if you don't fight hard enough or don't fight at all. They don't get that if all you do is say "no" and they do it anyway, it's rape. And that's probably coming from an old-fashioned societal view, as well, going back to a time when everyone was less accepting of rape as a violent crime. Even today, these views are still around - that if you wear a miniskirt, you're asking for it, that if you walk alone at night you're asking for it, etc.
Also, I think women view their bodies and sexuality differently than men, so that may affect how they see rape differently.
