Lea's Shield

Have any of you ever heard of or used the Lea's Shield contraceptive?  I'm not currently in the market for new BC, (don't need anything right now.  :-) ), but I found this recently, and really like the idea of it.  It's kind of like a one-size-fits-all diaphragm.  It seems like a really neat product, but it seems hard to get in most places.  Any ( Read more... )

From the wiki entry on cervical caps, it looks like the Lea's Shield brand is discontinued in the US, but it mentions being available under the name "LEA contraceptivum" in Germany.

It kinda makes me think of an Instead softcup, though it looks a little sturdier than what I imagine a softcup would be like (I've only ever seen pictures and never used one; the softcups looks pretty soft 8D).

I was curious about it before too but couldn't really find much information on it. My doctor was a douche when I was asking about shield/cap/diaphragm :/
