It's been done!
Well... the housing inspector just left.
•Cracks / holes in windows.
(when I told the building about this when I first moved in, their reply was "do you want me to put some tape on it?)
•Heat not working.
•Hole in ceiling / leaks.
(Maintenance looked at this and muttered something about it and said it would get fixed later.)
•Fire Alarm was crazy old / battery dead.
(It's my responsibility to maintain it while I'm here, but they have to replace it every 5 years or so, and truthfully, it looked like the original battery in there, plus it was disconnected! I replaced it and it works now... but they might have to replace the whole detector. who knows.)
•Door latch is gutted
(Always been like this. Don't know if there's anything they can do about it.)
•Locks never rekeyed when I moved in.
(I asked about this when I moved in but it never happened.)
I'm prepared to have to move out of here within three months. If the landlord does anything like raise my rent or.. ANYTHING. within 90 days, it's considered retaliatory action and the inspector said this particular landlord knows better. But if anything happens after that, I'll just try to move I guess. *shrug* Man. Maybe I should just be proactive and move out before that shit happens.
I don't want to move. :( I can't AFFORD to move!!!
