I can't write a real post today because, all my creativity is being poured into anaylsis of the mayors schedule or analysis of merit pay and value added assessments. but I can (and did) procrastinate by playing with jupiterempath 's meme.

3: "Brown Eyed Girl".
6: "Do You Hear The People Sing" from Les Miserables.
7: Tori Amos, "China".
8: "Another One Bites The Dust".
9: I knew I knew it, but had to look it up, so I won't say unless no one else gets it.
12: one of many versions of "House of the Rising Sun".
13: Again with the having to look it up to actually remember what song it was.
19: Counting Crows, but I had to look up which song.

I'm going to have to post my own later, but don't have time to do it right now - and what do the meme rules say about songs with no English lyrics? No lyrics at all? The chances of getting 20 songs in a row off my hard drive with comprehensible lyrics are very, very small.

I skipped one that had no lyrics. I say non-english is probably good. I was hoping mine would give me one of the beatles songs that I have in german!

19) I can't believe nobody recognized "Tangled up in Blue". Bob Dylan, or any of the many groups that has covered it.

16) okay, I can believe nobody recognized Erin McKeown's song. I think it's called "Blackbirds".

yup. both right. I couldn't get a good lyric without the word "blackbird" in it, so it's a little bit cheeting, but...yeah, i love that song.
