Fashionable Thoughts
Attended a fashion show at Tent@Orchard this week as part of work. The show was better than I expected. Phew. So glad the event pulled off well. Liked some of the pieces there. Didn't like the set up for the Tent. Was sitting there watching the models and realise there are so few Asian models. Ok... So the industry is dominated by a skin type but shouldn't organisers be more supportive of Asians and hire them? I don't think there's a shortage of good models across Asia Pacific. Some of the white ones weren't even good. One male model is so short he was stepping all over his pants. Such a pity and rather depressing. After all these decades of progress and rhetoric, we're still stuck.
