[Watching the PokeGear and not his intended path of travel, Juudai nearly trips over nothing at all before arranging the recording to face him. He appears to be in Violet City at last, sometime in the brightly-lit latter half of the morning.]

[ Kay's awake (of course she is) and is just out enjoying the morning with the derpiest Wooper ever and a Murkrow stretching his wings. The Pokégear catches her attention first with Juudai's voice, and then once she realizes what's going on, she's already dashing in that direction.

Boys, you will probably see a very happy thief running towards you, one arm waving over her head. And she may not stop until she plows into you for greeting hugs. ]

Juudai! Crow! You made it!!

[Oh dear, about to get run over by a Kay?! Juudai eventually gets charged into, and has to take a step or two back to keep his balance. Still, he laughs and hugs her right back.]

Hehe, yeah, looks like we did, doesn't it?

[Now that's what's called a warm welcome! Crow grins at the girl and gives her thumbs up.]

Hah, told you we'd catch up! You should know the almighty Crow always keeps his word!

Man, Johan's going to be so happy to see you! I'm so happy to see you and this is my first time meeting you! [ releasing Juudai after a moment, giving Crow the same treatment + thumbs up, and stepping back to look them over. ] You guys made good time. Did you really run the whole way?

[ Yes, of course she's one of those rare people who's incredibly energetic in the morning. Also don't mind the Wooper squeaking insistently by your feet for one of you to PICK HER UP ]

[A proud and self-satisfied grin.]

Uh huh! Didn't we, Crow?

[And then he glances down at the Wooper and smiles, bending over and hoisting her into the air playfully in one swift motion. Awwwwwww~.]

Hey, you. You been causing trouble lately?

[Laughs.]

We sure did!

[Aww, that's cute, but aren't they missing someone? Crow looks around in search for Johan.]

So, where's our pro duelist from the past? I'd like to meet him in person!

[ Flapper replies with a vigorous headshake, which might be taken seriously, were she not smiling so joyously and wagging her tail like some absurd blue furless puppy. ]

Just the usual terrorizing of the Center customers, but she's been behaving!

[ And Kay grins and jerks her thumb back towards the inn, though she lifts an eyebrow at "past". ] He was there when I left, and I don't think he's gotten himself lost yet. He'll probably come running in a minute.

Well, that's good to hear!

[Juudai smiles warmly, with a tinge of mischievousness to it. Idly, he pets Flapper's slightly damp little head.]

Well, maybe we should march in there and drag him out here instead, huh? I'm not sure if I wanna wait on his account, hehe~.

[Crow smirks, turning in the direction of the inn.]

Guess we might as well. We're not gonna wait here the whole day, right?

[ slowly, Kay's grin gets wider and ten times more mischievous. She whistles to the Murkrow first, who glides down to land on her shoulder, and then starts heading in that direction, since Flapper's content to soak up Juudai's petting. ]

If he asks, I was the patient one here.

[someone is walking blissfully unaware out of the Pokemart, where he has been working for a good portion of the day, whistling and talking happily to the Dratini in his arms about this or that.]

[Juudai's face just... completely changes when he sees Johan. For the better, at that -- his eyes light up fondly, and the rest of his face forms a very broad smirk. He approaches him casually as can be, stops to look him up and down for a moment with the smirk still plastered all over his expression... then socks him across the shoulder playfully.]

You are late, Johan!

[Crow comes up to the newcomer with a wide grin on his face.]

Yeah, you sure took your sweet time getting here!

[ Kay will hang back to let the bromance and manly bonding commence-- and also because she's trying not to laugh. ]

Someone's in trouble, huh, Byrne?

[what the socking] Hey, who--

[Johan's look of surprise turns to... even more surprise, then his eyes brightening and a wide grin spreading across his face and-- oh dear, he's forgotten he still has his Dratini there, because Judai you are getting a quick hug, before he pulls back to give his friend a slap on the back and look over who else is there.]

Juudai! And-- Crow? You got here! I've been waiting!

-- Wait, hehe, am I late?

[Juudai smirks, feeling a little for the poor serpentine thing Johan had been carrying that wound up crushed between them in the hug. He barely even flinches when he gets smacked on the back, though, and places a hand on his shoulder when they pull back, inclined to hold on with a comfortably tight grip as though he were in imminent danger of disappearing.]

C'mon, Johan, you're worse than I am this time! And that's saying something!

[Because Juudai is more often than not fashionably late for everything -- class, appointments, scheduled dates... anything. Leave it to him not to be punctual, ever. At least he did, in fact, manage to make good time this time around. Excitement will do that to a person, he supposes.]

Yeah, funny story about that -- Crow and I ran into each other when we were in Cherrygrove, and we found we were going in the same direction, so we both went "why the hell not, let's go together!"
