And a gas cloud being a Pokemon makes about as much sense as how this gas cloud can somehow lick another Pokemon, and while that affects a floating bouncing plant, it doesn't affect a squirrel-thing.
[Gastly smiles and exposes his tongue. Manjoume is not amused.] I didn't ask you to demonstrate.

...You might have a point. And he does remind me of them, at least a tiny bit. [His tone is not one that would suggest that he's particularly fond of either subject to the outside observer, but he is. A little bit, at least.]

[A beat.]
Yubel... is my guardian. She'd been with me since I was a kid, but due to... circumstances, I was separated from her when I was five. She's always meant the world to me. But when she came back, she was brainwashed by the Light, though I didn't know it until way later.
...A lot of mistakes were made at the time, but I managed to make everything right again, with her and with you guys. She was fused to my soul as a result of everything that happened, and that was fine, but, well... not anymore.
So I'm going to find her. Hane Kuriboh's gone, too. I still have the cards, but they're just... empty. It's awful.
[His tone's a little less enthusiastic than it was before. If Manjoume hasn't already gone through this, and he finds out... there'll be trouble, Juudai suspects.]
Also, I've already graduated. I was traveling the world before I got brought here.
