I can't think of a subject

I saw my oncologist yesterday, and since the neuropathy in my hands and feet is becoming too much for me, I'm only going to do chemo every other week from now on. It's a relief, because my fingers are starting to be almost useless. I drop stuff, and it hurts to hold things tightly. I'm hoping this will get better before my chemo next week.

It was fun, because Dr. Regan kept looking at me like I was her miracle child. Apparently, the way my tumors shrunk and everything responded so well is very out of the norm. It was a very happy doctor appointment, especially when she told me I didn't have to do chemo that day. Becca and nancy were with me, so we all went out to lunch to celebrate. It was a great day, and I even bought myself some new clothes while I was at Target picking up my prescriptions.

Today, I need to go the DMV and get my driver's license renewed. Not as much fun, but if there is time and energy, Becca and I will go for a walk in the forest preserves after I get my new license.

It's my birthday next week, and I can't help but be super super pleased that I'm still here to have one. I'm also pretty damned determined to stick around till next year and make it to my 50th birthday. Becca says I should put up a wish list at Amazon, but I've never done anything like that before, so I dunno.

On my birthday, we're going to do a trivia night thing that we do every year with our neighbors. It's to raise money for the Leadershop program that their daughter has been a part of for years, and it's a lot of fun. Our team always come in last place, but we have a great time and stuff our faces with pizza and snacks, so we don't care. At this point, being the biggest losers is something we're kind of proud of. Heh.
