After some test rides, and visiting a few shops, Alix and I found a bike that'll fit her with some minor tweaks, and give her something kick ass to ride.
We looked at a
Giant XTC1, a Giant Youkon, but we finally settled on a Giant XTC2With a new steam, some new brake levers, her seat, and some smaller grips, it should fit her quite well

Yippee! That looks like fun! I want to ride my bike... :( But, I'm stuck inside doing an outline for a term paper for my philosophy of ethics class. /sigh And, it's cold outside, boo! Send some warm weather my way, pleeeease!

Good fleece lined tights as a base layer under some other layer of pants, then a good windbreaker and you'd be fine. oh and warm gloves. and maybe something to wear under the helmet to keep yer skull warm.

Alright, just to let you know, I am NOT making excuses (I know how much you hate that), but...

1. It is 45 with a windchill making it feel like 40.
2. If I spend more money on anything bike related, Tom will have my hide.
3. I have Laurianna, and no one to watch her for me (and no money to pay someone to watch her).

So, I have resigned to staying at home and working on homework. Thanks for the advice though! Maybe, just maybe, if I can get myself a job, I can change some of this (except the weather part though... Michigan is like this in the spring, 70 one day, 40 the next... /sigh)

Grrr... Alright, that eliminates the "cold" problem, but what about Laurianna? Unless YOU want to come HERE and watch Laurianna for me, I'm stuck! :P
