(no subject)
saturday evening in the berkshires, blizzard is on the way. things are looking up.
i had a near-breakdown last night, tho. something about no plans on friday night, the paper that was not writing itself. i twisted my ankle (very minor) hiking up monument mountain on tuesday. or rather, while running down it. note to self: no matter how cute they are, it's never a good idea to chase after boys. so anyway, teh sore ankle has kept me from the gym this week, and i miss running. and climbing. i really wanted a friend to go out and have french fries and beer with at the brewery, but to no avail. sigh. i watched the opening ceremonies of the olympics instead. i was actually impressed with their ability to draw out maybe ten minutes of entertainment over at least 3 hours.
today, as i said, is looking up. i took myself out to breakfast at the roadside, always a welcome distraction. then went up to lenox, where i gave my valentine/party invite to garrett, and actually got half a paper written. now i'm snuggled up with my kitties, soon to be headed out on what might be a date. ah saturday night.
