what is it about this place that is so confusing? some days im thrilled and confident and feeling strong, then the next day my boss will tell me that im too pretty to actually accomplish anything in my life except successfully putting on makeup. then ill sit and wonder if im making the right decisions and if everything i strive for is in vain. no, im not completely thrown off by the thoughts of an overweight middle-aged woman, but im sick of this downdraft. i need my car to be fixed and i need to drive someplace.
