Seriously what happened?
What an amazing week... no really... WTF...
Some days I really can't remember why I even bother to work in customer service. The fact that I have to deal with some of the strangest people on earth and the occasional levity said interaction provide just can't make up for the utter mind fuck that it causes most other times.
The sad thing is that I think I actually do, on some hidden level enjoy the work, what other possible reason could I have for subjecting myself to it for all this time.
Having the wonderful boi makes all the difference I guess. I cannot imagine coming home one night and not having the opportunity to let loose with the days verbal diatribe and not having someone intimately familiar available to listen to it all. This is where the levity is gained, where the days worth of pain and suffering get turned into hours of amusement and perspective gained on the things that make it hard to get through the day at times.
In good news for my overall week, i have discovered a hidden talent for the creation of Japanese Gyoza dumplings, when coupled with the great Asian style salad provided by the boi and two good friends it made for a great Monday night dinner.
I'm also going to be an Aunty (well unrelated but still :P) for the second time soon, officially Friday, I'm betting on Wednesday. Go Go Baby, you can do it! Shame I've been rather slack about my gift, it's half finished. The bonus being that the kid wont be able to use it for a few months at least, so I have time. The more practical gift of my freezer compatible cooking I hope has made a bigger difference, need to get the skates on and do a few more dishes. I can see I'm going to be a group chef for a bit of time, whilst the babe is settling.
The one other bit that I am overwhelmingly rapt with is the fact that I found my rings again and they actually fit! So happy about that one. Kinda a hassle when you lose $$$$$ worth of custom made jewelery, even worse when you can't wear it.
Now to go finish meatballs and freeze them too...
