So I hung out with a bunch a preganant girls tonight and one of their husbands and jenn's dad and stepmom.
I enjoyed myself. Moms can COOK!
I also used a salad spinner for the first time. It's seems a little frivolous to me, but I was nonetheless impressed by the bone dry lettuce it produced for the salad.
And then Jenn and I went on a walk on an overcast black as night... well... uh... night to take a photograph we had discussed last night of a barn.
That barn is... well... on it's last legs seems a little generous. But I was impressed with her camera. after she fiddled with the aperture and we did some hokery pokery to get the autofocus to adjust and then turned off the auto focus, and borrowed her father's tripod, she got a photo that looked... well... just like she had taken it on an overcast day. Which is not what she was going for, but speaks well as toward the abilities of the camera.
After some more adjusting of the aperture she decided that she had the shot. I am sceptical, but will look harder when I can see it on something bigger than the little camera screen in the dark.
Oh. and it started snowing while we were taking the picture. For a second (when it was trying to auto-focus) we thought the flash was giving off sparks.
Alas, that bizare occurance was not actually the case.
Anyway, I sampled some of her father's fine scotch and now I have read my friend's list on lj and checked all the things that have been sent to my on myspace, and I am unconscious in 5... 4... 3... 2...
