Over the last six years I have grown to hate Lucas for putting me in such an awkward position when it came to defending the merits of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.
However, after seeing
Revenge of the Sith tonight, I no longer feel any embarrassment towards my youth created on-line handle. The movie exceeded my expectations in setting up for the original trilogy. During a few scenes all of these puzzle pieces would suddenly assemble themselves in my head creating a sensation not found while viewing Episodes I and II. When the credits began to roll, I couldn't have been more satisfied.
Yeah, the acting is nothing to tell your mother about, but this downfall is overly compensated for by the events of the movie. You not only get to witness Anakin's turn to the Darkside but also his transformation into Vader as we know him best and everything else that happens in between which is all fairly significant relative to the Star Wars saga as a whole.
If The Phantom Menace and/or Attack of the Clones has left a bitter taste in your mouth, go catch Revenge of the Sith to wash the bitterness away. Go!
