(no subject)
This is in lieu of my chat with a few jters and our discussion on the HBO show Oz. So I'm back on my CSI Miami buzz, and keep in mind; I love CSI miami, only for Horatio---David Caruso!! Yes, he could make a woman drop their undies unnaturally fast---on the show he's like a phantom. Anyway they had a man on man rape moment in the show and it brought back those oh so precarious childhood memories of Oz when I was growing up. Now, I started watching the show in it's second to last season which had to give a thanks to HBO in demand (when it was connected to the HBO channel and not a separate entity). Anyway I started to rewatch the ep, the show was poetic and disturbing at the same time. The amount of man on man violence through beatings and fights was impressive especially for it making it to american television no matter that it's on cable. Since I would watch it at around 11am since again it was on demand. Apparently it had a large gay following, I didn't know much about the fandom side, I just watched the show religiously...anyway I mentioned I had a fave rape scene. You ended up doing this towards the first half of season 1. That's all there is in the show man on man violence so my fave ep had one of the most out of control rape scenes...3 guys try to beat up an african guy (african guy used to be on LOST, actually both the black guys on Lost used to be in Oz. Now the one with the afro and kid?! He was the one most people didn't rape and he was the poet, he feel off a building and lost the use of his legs after shooting a cop. He luckily was never violating, now the other guy on LOST, well he was the sex fiend, he would fuck anyone and anything...he was just addicted to sex.) So this Italian thug was like I'm gonna get you sucka and tries to jump the african guy with three of his friends. Within seconds the african guy was able to disable the other two and lock them away (huge guys too..) and slapped the Italian kid around then turned him over a table and had a go. It's awful but bloody entertaining....anyway I have a pic of which character I am. I'm not really impressed...
This guy was a lawyer who was drinking and driving and killed a kid on a bike, first degree manslaugher; and then put in Oz. It was not sweet, his first bunk mate was the sex fiend guy I was mentioning, but he got to be friends with this crazy nazi guy. So he moves into the Nazi guys bunk thinking he'd be alright, hahahaha...what a joke!!! He gets raped the first night and branded by the guy as his bitch!! Anyway his wife ends up killing herself, she had conjugal sex with him in the prison until she couldn't live with the shame of her existence, and killed herself, having the two kids go and live with their grandparents. The guy was a fool but Oz sobered him up quick...If I remembered correctly he died.

If you're interested in Oz by what I have to say, then I suggest you look into it. It's a bloody fantastic show and if you have troubled boys who can't learn, make them watch Oz, it would put the fear of God and all that is holy in them only because no one would want to be randomly raped, beaten, killed, or mutilated in prison. Prison Break makes prison life appear like Candyland in comparison---it's a nutered show (reason I can't watch it!). Long live Oz, I never want to go to prison!!
