Awwwwww!!! <3 I just HAVE to post here a scene from this week's Grey's Anatomy (Season 5, episode 7). It's just so unbelievably beautiful...
Yes, Denny is still very much dead, but apparently the writers are intending to reward me with endless fun, because this is already the second episode on season five alone, where Denny appears to Izzie and is (unless I've miscalculated) the fourth episode in the series in which Denny has made an appearance AFTER his death! Wow! How awesomely, insanely wonderful! I don't care if it's impossible, more series should bring back dead characters so that some long lost ships could be rekindled.

It’s the end of the day. Izzie is tying her shoelaces in the residents’ locker room. As the camera shoots up her leg we see a blurry figure sitting on the bench next to her. Suddenly Izzie’s hands stop tying the laces in her sneakers. She pauses and slowly straightens her back, apparently sensing Denny’s presence, while being unwilling to look at him. She closes her eyes and sadly shakes her head.
IZZIE: No. No. (Fighting to stay strong) You can’t be here. I have to move on, I… (exhales deeply) I love you and I will always love you, but I have to move on. That’s why I had that patient today, that’s why I helped save his life so that I wouldn’t feel guilty anymore and I could move on. So please… you have to go.
As the camera pans around we see a new figure sitting next to Izzie, at the same spot Denny seemed to be sitting only a few moments ago. It’s Alex. He leans towards her, curious.
ALEX: Go where?
Izzie opens her eyes and turns to look at Alex. When she sees it’s him she smiles widely, looking relieved.
ALEX: Are you okay?
IZZIE: (briskly) Yes. Yes… (she takes his head in her hands and kisses him) I am totally okay. (nodding) I’m fine, everything’s fine. I have to change, but I’ll meet you at the bar, okay?
Alex get’s up to leave and Izzie stands up too.
IZZIE: (relieved) Okay.
Alex leaves the locker room
MEREDITH V.O.: In fact… there’s only one thing about life we can be sure of.
Izzie is left standing by her locker, looking somewhat nervous and delighted at the same time. Suddenly she senses a presence behind her. She slowly turns around and finds herself face to face with Denny. Her expression is suddenly very serious.
DENNY: Are you sure you’re okay?
Izzie exhales deeply and can do no more than stare at this strange sight. Denny smiles at her warmly and Izzie closes her eyes, looking worried.

Man, I'm pretty sure that the answer to the question "Is Izzie okay?" is "no". These visions of Denny might just be hallucinations, which would probably indicate a brain tumor or something as medically alerting as that. There have been some rumours about Izzie's character getting a serious illness... Boy, I sure do hope that Denny will be a regular "vision" in Izzie's head this season. I just love that character and those two together. So romantic! <3
