Wow!! It has been well over a month since I last updated. Well, lets see...so much has happened over this past month...
As I said in my last posting we have adopted a dog, Solomon. He's a beagle (a lot of you have probably already met him). He is just the BESTEST dog in the whole wide world. He's enough to make anyone a beagle lover (right, Mer?) He's been so much fun to have and such great company.
I am officially a graduate of University of Maryland with my Master's of Education!! You may now call me Master K as one of my youth group kids suggested. (I thought it was funny, but please don't actually call me that!!!) Graduation was great. We had all the fam here. Jim's grandmother even came in from Minnesota for it!!! She stayed with us for a few days and it was SOOOOOO much fun to have her here. I wish we could see her more often. Anyway, the weekend was filled with much fun and celebration!!
Last weekend was one of the most fun weekends of my life. Many of you out there know what I'm referring to...McHugh's wedding. What a great time. Beautiful ceremony, wonderful reception, lots of friends, so much to celebrate, seeing lots of people that we miss terribly... WOW!!! Weekends don't get much better than that!!!
The new Mr. & Mrs. McHugh are coming down top visit tomorrow and I'm so excited I can barely stand it!!! We are going to miss them so much when they move out to Washington, but I guess that just means we are going to have to go out and visit them out there.
This weekend was fun and filled with church stuff. We cleaned out this lady's yard that was overgrown with poison ivy and brush and trees and crapola! It was pretty gross! But it was good practice for us and the youth kids for our mission trip next week.
Today Jim actually took the day off from work and we have been working around the house trying to fix things like a broken shower, ripping mirrors down (and cutting fingers in the process), and general cleaning up. The joys of home ownership! We do love it though! Anyone who wants to come and see all our hard work let us know we've got a room waiting for you!!! \
Well, please pray for us next week as we accompany the youth on a mission trip to Philadelphia. Many of you may be wondering what kind of mission trip is this that is going to Philly? Well, its a service mission trip and the kids will be working in the inner city at project houses, low income areas and things like that doing a variety of tasks. So pray that God will give us strength, boldness, and safety.
We will try to update as soon as we get back from Philly if not before.
