Anyway, I'm sitting here right now doing some research for my sociology class. My topic is women's roles in the 1940s, and I'm supposed to find a TV show that portrays women's roles in the 40s. FAIL on the TV shows, since TV didn't really become popular until the 1950s, but I found a lot of information about my topic.
As I sit here doing research among other things, part of me can't believe that it's already April and that I only have one year left in my college career. After that, it's time to hit the real world and start looking for a job. I have to face reality sooner or later.
Speaking of a job, I got an internship at a news station in Roanoke earlier this month. I'm gonna be up here in Blacksburg alone all summer and no parents to depend on. Is this what growing up is like? I'm not ready to face the real world.
