Cry Freedom

Jimmy is 8 years old. He lives with his sister and two brothers, his mom, his mom's mom, and his mom's mom's parents in a two bedroom house with a dead lawn and a chain-link fence. Jimmy gets decent grades at school, but the other kids pick on him because of his old clothes. He wants to be a football player when he grows up, but his mom can't afford to get him a ball.

I'm getting one at Wal-Mart before we go back there tomorrow to plant some flowers around the yard and paint the trim on the house. I'll give it to him mom, so she can give it to Jimmy. Doug wants to get Jimmy's sister a tricycle, and other people are getting things for the rest of the family.

I wish I could give them the north wing of the Estate, or even a quad suite in Pryce Hall. Then I might start to feel better.
