In a moment of depression over asucaga rumors/spoilers I read at a couple of people's journals, I went totally nuts and made colorbars for SEED characters I've grown to either love, respect, or enjoy (at times). Behind the cuts are a total of [8] Colorbars, including [3] relatively old Stellar/Cagalli/Lacus ones in case people didn't see them. I ( Read more... )

Taking Shinn & Stellar ones! But will credit (^▽^).

About the AsuCaga thing, I think even if they split up for a while, they'll end up together. Both have been through a hell of alot, so probably need time to reconcile and settle within themselves all that's happened. It doesn't mean that they don't love each other; just that they need time to think for themselves.

No problem *hugs*

I agree with everything you just said. And I actually think a temporary break-up might be the best thing for the two right now; after everything they've gone through its only understandable that they'll be wanting space from each other. A temporary separation is actually the most realistic route for the writers to go. To reiterate on things: a temporary separation also leaves room for growth as individuals, and if they can achieve that, their relationship will be stronger than ever when/if they decide to get back together, which I'm sure they will. Those two are just meant to be. <3

You know, this could have been applied much better with Kira and Lacus since it would give a good excuse to attempt to develop Lacus's character and try to steer her away from the Mary-suish persona that she has been developing.

Instead Fukuda had to go the cheap route and I'm betting he won't put the two back together.

The director and the executives of Bandai truly deserve to be torched.

I understand your frustration, and yeah even a real (temporary) break-up, which might've been good for the two a few episodes earlier, would be too late at this point - there'd only be 5 eps left! - but I'm still hoping, if they do a real breakup, they'll be able to somehow, by the most miraculous chance, pull off a realistic reunion, if there's one. Yep, I'm still thinking there's at least a 90% chance the two will be together, somehow, in the end. I say this with the faith I have from SEED, not Destiny ^^

As for Lacus, well, I understand your frustration about her as well. I used to alternate between like and dislike for her, but at this point, I don't have a lot against her anymore. I think its more that other characters get so abused that she comes off perfect. She *is* more competent than the other characters, but I do think she has flaws, beneath all that serenity and holiness she obtained at the end of SEED that used to annoy me.

Yea Fukada and Bandai deserve a good spanking.

That is not what I meant. What I meant was that I had hoped they would have gone this route instead was so to give Lacus some realy good chance at character development and also give the KxL some enormous weight since even though I hated how they played Fllay's death, it createed a golden opportunity that few anime or shows have a chance to do.

Check out my fanfic at fanfiction.net then you'll understand what I mean. And please pass the word to the others to check it out since I'm dying for reviews.

Well, thinking it over, Lacus does need more screentime then they gave her. And had they applied this route to KxL, it would've been interesting and such a route would've had a lot of potential (that being said, your fanfic's good ^-^).

But I think, given if their relationship was meant to be symbolic of healing as opposed to KxF, KxL was developed fairly well, albeit most of the romantic development in their relationship seems to have occurred offscreen in those two years they were together living at that orphanage. I just think it'd be nice to give us confirmation that the two *did* get together, like maybe with a small peck on the cheek. But I do think they already are together. I think its more that the two are like kindred spirits, as opposed to AxC, who need to struggle to see each other's point of views. I think their relationship was meant to be a spiritual one of quiet understanding, and if thats what they were aiming for, KxL was done alright - it could've been done better; I'll agree with that, but it was alright.
