boring/interesting politics (skip if not interested)
i have decided that i am going to join the labour party. the main reason being that when the next leadership election comes around i can vote for this guy.

his chances of winning are slim and i figure thats mainly the fault of people like me. who consider themselves socialists and yet are not party members. so i'm going to vote for him and then he's going to lose to gordon brown and then i'm going to resign my membership. unless brown wins and he introduces more democracy into the party and lets the members decide the policies. which frankly he's not likely to
so i'm doing my bit in an entirely fatalistic and hopeless way
