Okay, I lied, getting a vehicle and living in it while in Ireland isn't going to save me any money - it'll be about 4,500 for a decent Volvo wagon, plus quite a bit in gas and plenty in insurance. Past that, though, and it won't be more expensive than rent AND I'll have fucking FREEDOM!. Finances are working themselves out, though, and I'll even ( Read more... )

What's your timeframe for Ireland? One of my best friends in the world, Dusty, is going to be in Ireland Fall quarter. She's from Seattle, but goes to UCSB. If you guys are going to be there at the same time, I can pass on contact info. She's really sweet, you'd love her, and it might be nice to have someone else you know you can get in touch with if necessary. (She's the kind of person you could call with a problem, having never met her, tell her you're my friend, and she'd listen for hours or get you out of a tough sitch.)

Where are you going to be August 18th, 19th, and 27th?

I'm leaving January/February and staying until the next October or so, so I think I'll miss your friend unless she stays there through winter.

The 18th I'll likely be in town, the 19th I'm working, and I'm not sure about the 27th. Will you be around? I've either a couch or an air mattress for you to sleep on if you need it.

Thanks for the offer, I've got places to sleep, and I'm mostly passing through Oly (you are in Oly, right?) but I'd love to grab lunch or something on the 18th. I'm driving up and spending the night of the 17th in Portland, but I need to be in Seattle sometime on the 18th (not too late).

What's your number?

Yep, Oly. Home - (360) 943-1428, cell (360) 259-5608.

I think I'll be around the 18th, probably. I might be going on a bit of a vacation this week, but should be back by then.
