Texture on the lady - she has a stomach and tits on one side and legs/crotch/hip+bottom of tummy on the other. She's also got a 'goddess' (kind of pregnant) figural suggestion inside of her, and I'm not sure about that bit yet. Oh well. Tons of texture - I burnished some bits - one breast, the hip, and the crotch-mound (made reeeeally smooth), crapped some other ones up - most of the rest of it (added crazy messy texture) and am really enjoying the contrast. She's getting cool. I'm wondering about adding color now or later (in the form of colored/toned slips (runny clay) on the unfired piece - I've red, blue, black and white to work with, and could get a more earthy selection if I wanted it. Any opinions? I don't know if anyone really knows what I'm talking about, hm...shit. Oh well). I'll be getting that site up soon enough, you can see then, eh? I think I might add a bit of color, though, because otherwise all I get is this tan-ish pink. Ech. :)
Also, bought that camera finally. I figure now's the best time - I'll have the summer to get decent with it, then I'm off.
This weekend's skeletons makes me want to play with bones - I love messing with really female forms and the bones those let out, but what about making something with really exposed, raw bones? Burnish those and leave everything else textured? Hm...
When I get that site up I think I want to have a place specifically for feedback. Can I do that, sort of a forum thing? Hm...
