V-Day is a global movement to end violence against women and girls that raises funds and awareness through benefit productions of playwright and founder Eve Ensler’s award winning play The Vagina Monologues. Last year, V-Day Rochester raised over $4300 for Rape Crisis Service and the V-Day Spotlight on Women in Conflict Zones. In 2008, V-Day Rochester will again support our local Rape Crisis Service and the V-Day Spotlight on New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.
Planned Parenthood is looking for volunteers to help organize V-Day Rochester 2008 behind-the-scenes by joining the V-Day Steering Committee. We are looking for volunteers interested in directing, producing, fundraising, logistics, volunteer coordination, graphic design, and public relations. (We’re not looking for actors at this time. A casting call for actors will take place early in 2008.) If you have are interested in a production role, helping us end violence against women and girls, then join us at the:
