This weekend sure came and went!
On Thursday of last week, Darin and I went to Circut City and bought a 52" Sony LCD Flat Screen TV! It's freaking awesome!
Friday, after work, Darin and I (along with Indy) went to my parents for some dinner, then took the puppy to Wyandotte for their 3rd Friday. We walked down by the river and around the park, then along the streets of Biddle. That lil' one sure does get the attention! Too bad he's still shy and not super happy about meeting people. I guess that will come with time. After that, Darin and I came back to the apartment and did some cleaning since his sister and Jodi were coming over. Darin and Adrian playing some Rock Band, then we met Eric, Joe & Faith up at Buffalo Wild Wings for some food n' drinks.
Saturday, was kinda sorta a blurr. We went down to Monroe for a "suprise" bbq for Jen & Mitchels buddy Eric. Darin and I put in $40 towards a bike for him. All his friends got together and bought a $600 mini bike for him to ride around down with friends on. Back story...he got in a bad accident last summer and about crushed his knee and totaled his bike. After being down there we ended up going back to Circut City to puchase a surround system. That took forever and a day since the one we picked was an open boxed item, so we had to wait for them to find a box and get all the parts to it. After there, we went to Target and returned the luggage we got at the wedding. We ended up purchasing 3 HDMI cables, and a few BluRay DVD's for our PS3. When we got home, my Mom came over since she was staying the night at the apartment to watch Indy. We got our bags packed and headed to the Hyatt for our night stay. After we checked in, we headed to Mongolian BBQ in Dearborn to meet Darin's parents and his sister for dinner. By the time we got back to the hotel it was almost 10:30. I have always wanted to order room service, so Darin and I ordered 2 pieces of cheesecake from the menu. That arrived around 11:30, so we sat and watched I believe an old episode of SNL.
Sunday, we were able to sleep in. Finally got ready, and took our bags to the Jeep and headed upstairs for our Brunch at Gulio & Son's. The food is delicious! Darin and I were both very full on our drive home. When we got home, we finally were able to get the TV somewhat set up and at least on the stand. Darin's parents along with Adrian came over to say goodbye since she was heading back to Savanna that day.
**Side note: on Friday at work I donated $5 to some fund here at work, in doing so, your name was entered in a drawing for a pair of tickets for the Pistons game 1 of the playoffs. My name was pulled so I asked Melissa on Friday to go with me since Darin had a concert**
So after Darin's folks left, I headed upstairs to get ready to head and go pick up Melissa. The game was fun. It was my first time at a Pistons game. Sadly they lost, even after being up by 13 points, and having 2 chances in the last seconds to win the game. Oh well. I'm just glad to have won the tickets for all of $5!
Overall this was a pretty funfill weekend. Not sure what the plans are yet for this coming weekend. I'm hoping it's as nice as it was outside this weekend. I really would like to take Indy to one of the Metroparks. Boy April sure had flown by!
