HEY!HEY!HEY! recording report
To promote their latest DVD single "VIBES" which will be out on 7/30, V6 made a guest appearance on 「HEY!HEY!HEY!MUSIC CHAMP」, performing their new track "常夏VIBRATION". J-Web's staff was at the studio and this is the report.
This time, they would be performing "常夏VIBRATION", which is a very summery pop number. The members were also dressed in summery blue-and-white-toned clothes, and were in the green room, waiting for the actual program...when Hey! Say! JUMP members, who were also guesting on the same day, dropped in to say hello. "Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!, they said in high spirits. To which, V6 members replied "Yoroshiku, ne~", smiling. Actually, before Hey! Say! Jump dropped by, V6 was actually watching their performance on the monitors in the green room. As they watched, they were going "that's good, ne" over the innocence of Hey! Say! Jump.
Soon, it was time for V6 to record their song performance. After entering the studio, V6 started getting into position, while counting out loud. We could hear Inocchi singing out the count in acapella style. Once they got in position, they started facing the camera and rehearsing to the music. As it was a dance number, soon V6 members were all sweating profusely from the start of the rehearsal.
While the cameramen were fine-tuning the cameras, Ken started rehearsing his rap phrases. Go was confirming the dance steps. As for Okada...he seemed fascinated with the palm tree on the set (laughs). Then Inocchi started chachacha-ing the rhythm as he practised the dance steps. Ken stopped his rapping and immediately joined in with Inocchi. Then Sakamoto and Nagano too, naturally began to dance to Inocchi's rhythm, and soon they were all checking each others steps to confirm the sequence.
Next, the actual recording starts. The staff started bringing in the audience, while V6 watched from the monitor next door. With their spirits rising to the passionate atmosphere, V6 members headed to the studio feeling exuberant and enthusiastic! Amidst the welcoming screams from the audience, Nagano could be heard saying "Are you ready~? Please enjoy yourselves!", and the song started. V6 was dancing and singing enthusiastically right from the start. They became one with the audience, enjoying themselves despite being drenched in sweat, and soon the performance ended. Sakamoto immediately said, "I'm going to check the results" and headed off to the room next door to check it out on the monitors. Inocchi, who was still in the stage, with a huge smile on his face, said to the audience "Thank you very much. Please be in equally high spirits during the concert too!". With that appreciation to the audience, we came to the end of the performance.
Next up, the talk section. Ken was recounting about the PV recording happenings, and they showed how Okada could now withstand the painful foot reflexology, since he started his strenuous training. And during Hey! Say! Jump!'s talk, when asked about how they view their Johnny's senpais, Hikaru talked about an episode of Nagano's love for food journeys. Nagano was smiling sheepishly over what Hikaru said.
