Summary: Bart does something special for Rose, and has fun while he's at it.
A warm breeze blew past Rose while she was reading her magazine, and the white-haired girl found a white rose lying next to her. She sniffed the rose and smiled. Her boyfriend could be such a romantic sometimes.
Another breeze blew past Rose, and she found a note reading, “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and it is ten. My heart sways to and fro. It sways for you.”
Rose chuckled. She didn’t know what kind of game Bart was playing, but it was quite romantic. Then she noticed that the note was scented with jasmine and that it didn’t stop at the piece of paper. Her curiosity piqued, she put away the magazine and followed the jasmine trail.
As she followed the trail, more warm breezes blew past her, leaving Hershey’s Kisses with their tips pointed outward in their wake. If she didn’t know better, she’d swear Bart was trying to get her to go somewhere. In the meantime, she ate the chocolate treats as she followed the path they set for her.
The trail led to the lounge room, where a surprisingly well-dressed Bart was waiting for her with two roses, one red and one white, in hand. He smiled sheepishly at her. “Did you like it?”
“How’d you do all this?” Rose asked.
“Simple,” Bart replied. “I made it fun. By the way, that’s not your only present from me.”
Rose looked at her hand and saw a golden ring with a red lightning bolt engraved on it. “Are you proposing?”
“No,” Bart answered, blushing. “Just thought it’d look nice on you.”
Rose strode over to him. “Aren’t you a bit overdressed?”
“It’s ok,” Bart said. Soft, romantic music was playing. He fidgeted nervously. “You wanna dance?”
“I’d love to,” Rose replied, taking his hand.
“Happy anniversary!” Bart cheered, hugging Rose tightly, unable to contain himself any longer. “Love you!”
Rose giggled happily. “Love you, too, Bart. Love you, too.”
