Checking one item off of my 'Bucket List'

I don't really have a Bucket List, and I think it's kind of a stupid name for such an important compliation of dreams. I have sort of a running list in my mind of things I would absolutely love to do in my lifetime. Normal ones like owning my own home, having children, getting married, etc. One of them was always to write a book. While I am not really writing a book, I am publishing one!

My good buddy Lucas sparked this idea for me by self-publishing his own book. (Check my previous entry for a link to buy the book.)

My family has a famous little story that has been passed down for a few generations. My grandfather's grandmother wrote it. It's a fabulous story about love, life, rebellion, deceit, lies, death, children, adventure, travel, and family. It's a superb story, and one that reads like fiction, but honestly, it's not. This is the book I'm publishing. I'm doing so as the editor, and I'm adding footnotes here and there to describe some of the words she uses, places she mentions, ships she sailed on, and so forth. I'm also adding a preface and some sort of afterward to explain bits about it and to elaborate (because this story was written in response to another woman's story, who made the main character's second husband seem like a lying, cheating, dolt of a man, when in reality he was pretty decent but made a bad choice to please a material girl.)

Anyway, I plan to have this done by summer, and hope that some of you would buy a copy, or maybe even spread the word that your friend put out a book worth reading (I assure you, it is!)

I'll post the link to the Amazon site where you can buy it once it's complete.

Yay!!
