something believes unceasingly in keeping the wolves from the door
It's been a long time since I ever felt anything like this. Words from loved ones tend to pierce so much deeper than words from other people because there's no armor to protect you, and they hit in the soft underbelly of your feelings. you spend so long keeping the wolves away from the door its still a surprise to feel their jaws close on your throat.
