Maybe consider worrying about debris in the water as (*gasp!) possible physical obsticals that may hurt if you encounter them in the water. Genius.
And thanks for the concern over people who LIVE in the vicinity of the nuclear plant. If they're okay, YOU WILL LIKELY BE OKAY TOO. Maybe if you decide to eat all the debris on the Pacific Ocean you can get sick, but that'll more be from trying to ingest uneditable objects if anything. Touching plastic casing that floated across over 5300 miles of ocean won't do the trick and make you grow a new head on your kneecap. CAPICE?

After cooling off: Oh silly me, why am I getting heated up over some local news stations doing a story like that? sigh if anything it's just babbling buzz words (no direct offense intended to local news reporters -you gotta report what you're told to report sometimes). Not meant to mean anything, and Japan didn't do a spectacular job handling the nuclear incident either. Just touched a raw nerve from last year (memories ① ② ③)
