It took a few wedding photos to realize that photography would be a great business to break into. Comparing our professional photos to those taken by friends/family with dslr's, the lack of difference was a little shocking. Some of the "non professional" shots were just as amazing as the pros, but the only difference was the lack of post processing using expensive software. Well, I got that software for free. Playing around with it, it's amazing to see how a little boosting of colors here and some luminance adjustments there can make even a crappy shot from a point-and-shoot look pretty decent. I still have no idea how to compose a proper shot or how to take decent portraits, but having the tools to process photos is giving me the push in the right direction. And having a huge support system isn't hurting either.
Come black Friday when we can go get our own dslr--it's on like donkey kong.
