It's not easy being a bookworm

So, since people found out last year that I took on a reading challenge, starting this year I got an invite for 2 challenges. This is not good, mostly because I already have a ton of books on my TBR list and I shouldn't be adding books that I would have to buy. XD One was suggested by a friend from college, problem is that a lot of books repeat from the challenge I did last year, so I find no reason to read that kind of book again. The other one was suggested through a Goodreads friend and is a genre challenge. Problem is, I do read most of those genres of my own accord, so there are not a lot of new genres for me.

Anyway, the challenges look good enough, so instead of taking them all in (which I can't do) I decided to select 15 books out of each challenge, some will appear on both lists so in the end, I might have a 20 book list for my challenges, which leaves me a lot of books free to read on my own just because I want to. :D

If anyone cares to join, here is the list of the books I'll take in this year as part of the two challenges.

Challenge 1
Book based on a fairy tale
A YA bestseller
Book set in Europe
Book under 150 pages
Book 100 years older than you
Science-fiction novel
Book with a protagonist who has your occupation
Book that takes place during summer
Book written by a comedian
Dystopian novel
Book about a culture you're unfamiliar with
Satirical book
Book that's guaranteed to bring you joy
Book with a blue cover
Book becoming a movie this year

Challenge 2
Chick-lit
Classic
Cyberpunk/Steampunk
Gothic
Short stories
Dystopian
Fantasy
Humour
Mystery
Non-fiction
Pulp
Science fiction
Victorian
Biography
Literary fiction

As I move along the challenge, I'll see which books can fit both challenges so that my list gets a bit shorter.

Have a fantastic new year start, and if you're bookworms like me, do read a lot. :D
