A for Effort
I've got to make this short because it's 8pm, I just got home and I need to start on my biz case for the night. I have decided to stop dicking around and start gunning for Ivey. This week has been insane. Words cannot express how many varied thoughts run through my mind per minute. Here's some of the things I've been up to:
- Confirm my signing authority as VP Finance for the ESA and draw up budgets for each event, social, and presentation.
- Receive my first assignment as new A&E reporter for The Gazette: a cd review, which I will post on here once I finish it.
- Attend the Investment Club meeting and pick up applications for Researcher positions and enter the Stock Market Challenge.
- Join the Western Model UN and sign on to the CGA Conference Planning Committee.
- Pick out days to sign up for my 12 hours of Leadership Development modules for the term.
Tomorrow: ESA's first social at the Spoke for 5pm then Western Review Meeting for 6pm. I have to pick up my assignments as writer for the Review and sign on to their Marketing Committee.
I'm sure I've forgotten something.
Lesson for the week: Being nice to adults (particularly uwo admin) = incredible tips to get ahead.
Most importantly: WESTERN HOMECOMING THIS WEEKEND!!!!! It's going to be fucking awesome. I love homecoming. The football game will be nuts. We're sitting with Jason and Mike, which should be interesting. The parade kicks things off on Saturday morning, followed by a Pancake kegger then the game. (Partying preceeds and proceeds).
