According Tokyo Sports, Fuji TV is planning on a special end of the year program, tentatively titled "Super TV," which will feature a drama starring some very big names.
For the first episode they've roped in Kimura Takuya, Kamenashi Kazuya, and Akanishi Jin.
Fuji wants this to be a very high quality production, so the drama is expected to have a large, movie-sized budget - at least 300,000,000 yen (approx $3.2 million). They plan on recovering costs by holding screenings at independent theaters, releasing a DVD, and even selling it overseas.
So how'd they get those three actors?
Kimura was decided first and after he expressed a desire to work with them, Kamenashi and Akanishi were chosen. Apparently, Kimura heard about Akame's issues with bitchassness, so being sempai and all, he thought if they co-starred in this drama he could help them work things out.
I don't know why Kimmy feels the need to be Dr. Phil all of a sudden but okay.
What's the drama about?
It's an original script about three brothers whose family was split up when they were young. After the passing of their father, they come together again and start life anew. With new lives comes new loves as all three of them fall for the landlord's daughter. In this funny and heart-warming story, the brothers will butt heads, but their love for each other will continue to grow.
This is pretty funny especially after all the drama over Kame's appearance in MR. BRAIN. Well, who knows if this is legit but I'm a sucker for a Kimura drama so I'd probably watch.
